Wendella Cares About the Community
Wendella Sightseeing Boats has been part of the Chicago community since it's first narrated boat tour in 1935. Today, over seventy five years later, Wendella remains a family owned, family run company. As Chicagoans ourselves, each year, we set aside a portion of our tickets for use by local charities for there own fundraising operations. Hundreds of local organizations have taken advantage of this program through the years to raise funds for schools, school districts, social service organizations, medical research operations, veterans groups and a host of other religious and civic organization. Countless numbers of people throughout the Chicagoland area have benefited from the good work these organizations provide.
In addition to tickets, Wendella has assisted worthy charities in their efforts by donating time, expertise and free or discounted vessels for fundraising events. While Wendella focuses its efforts on organizations that provide a direct benefit to Children, any and all organizations are eligible in inclusion in this program. Throughout the years, Wendella has helped and worked with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, the Ronald McDonald House, Chicago Public Schools, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Greater Chicagoland Food Depository and the Special Olympics.
