Legend has it, that the original Wendela was a pleasure boat that was brought to Chris Craft at Navy Pier for repair after a fire. Upon hearing the price of the repairs, the owners decided to just start over and sold the boat to Albert Borgstrom. Well, as we went through our company archives, we actually found a picture of the boat in its original layout. Viewing the two shots together, you can get an idea of many of the changes Albert made.
The story goes, the couple who owned it were from Evanston, IL. Their names and other information have been lost to history. If you happen to recognize this vessel or have any information on the original owners, we'd love to hear from you.
